With more than 10 years of experience in the ever-changing field of communications, Ms. Menekou and her team have strengthened the brands of numerous clients across the public, private and non-profit sectors. Ms. Menekou launched Conceptual Communications in 2008 to give organizations an alternative to hiring a full-time staff member or contracting with a large marketing or public relations firm. Her ability to help an organization clearly define its goals and then accomplish them through the art of communications, public relations and marketing expertise is remarkable. She is credited with achieving national recognition and media coverage for clients in an array of industries ranging from e-commerce to real estate, facilities maintenance and banking just to name a few.
In addition to her professional expertise, Ms. Menekou has maintained unwavering dedication to her community. Most recently she is credited with co-chairing Lit Lunch 2013 & 2014! benefiting the Broward County Library Foundation and serving on the Board of Directors for the Center for Independent Living of Broward as well as Broward Center's Ghost Light Society Steering Committee. A founding member of Emerge Broward, Ms. Menekou helped this organization attain a strong community presence, growing its membership from 60 members to over 500 members while serving as the organization's first Public Relations Chair from 2007-2009. A graduate of Leadership Broward Class XXVIII, Ms. Menekou was honored by the Leadership Broward Foundation as a "2010 Lady of Leadership" and is also a Rotary Alumni having served as a cultural ambassador on the 2007 Group Study Exchange Team that traveled to Argentina.
Ms. Menekou earned her Master of Science in Mass Communication from Florida International University where she received the highest honor from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication – “Graduate Student of the Year.” She received her Bachelor degree in International Business from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Originally from New York, Ms. Menekou moved to South Florida in 2001 and currently resides in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
